Saturday, October 1st – Fall colours / salmon spawning at Lowville Park in Burlington

This is a great opportunity to photograph fall colors (hopefully timing will be right) and the salmon spawning through Bronte Creek. Some pretty cool shots can be had as the salmon jump and swim around in the water.

Lowville Park is located at 6207 Guelph Line, Burlington, Ontario, L7R 3Z6. Access to Lowville Park is free and there is plenty of parking. In order to get good light and secure a parking spot (it can get busy), we will be meeting at 8:30am.  We will arrange a carpool if needed closer to the date.

Bring your cameras, a wide angle and telephoto lens, tripod (if you want one), charged batteries and memory cards.

I immerse myself in all aspects of my art and am involved in every facet of its creation from initial capture to printing and framing. My camera sees scientifically and I see artistically. Therefore, one of my artistic goals is to bring emotion to those who view my art and make them feel as though they are reliving the moment as I experienced it. I also try to invoke the viewer’s imagination allowing them to connect to my art with a sense of intrigue. My art evokes feelings of serenity, tranquility and intimacy with the subject. Capturing the world’s beauty is my true passion; nature makes me whole!
