Friday, August 5th to Sunday, August 7th – Tobermory nature and night photography weekend
This is going to be awesome. Feel free to join us for the whole weekend or just one day / night. You have a choice of camping or staying in a motel/inn. All accommodation expenses, food, transportation and personal items are the responsibility of each participant. You must provide your own camping gear or book and pay for your own hotel room. Lodging info can be found here:
We will be one week away from the peak of the Perseids meteor shower so the night sky should be spectacular. In the day we will be photographing the beautiful Georgian Bay shoreline and Bruce Trail forests and at night we will be photographing the stars! I’ll provide tips and best practices before the trip for those who are new to night photography. I will also always be there to answer any other photographic questions you may have. Logistics of when we will be leaving on Friday, meet up location and other outing info will be posted in July. If anyone wishes to carpool, we can arrange that closer to the date.
I am a fine art photographer from Milton, Ontario, Canada and specialize in nature and abstract photography. I immerse myself in all aspects of my art and am involved in every facet of its creation from initial capture to printing and framing. My camera sees scientifically and I see artistically. Therefore, one of my artistic goals is to bring emotion to those who view my art and make them feel as though they are reliving the moment as I experienced it. I also try to invoke the viewer’s imagination allowing them to connect to my art with a sense of intrigue. My art evokes feelings of serenity, tranquility and intimacy with the subject. Capturing the world’s beauty is my true passion; nature makes me whole!
